DBDCompNet Rules / Guidelines
Back to HomeThese Rules / Guidelines are the central rulebook for the DBDCompNet service.
Here is regulated how organizations and players, including non-players ("users") use our services. It is similar to Terms of Use ("ToU") and will be enforced as such.
We also declare what is seen as an organization or player, including users, how certain services that are connected with the DBDCompNet and DBDCompNet Management are used.
Disclaimer To keep things easier on our rules, we refer to personal pronouns "he" but mean and implement all genders.
We also refer to organizations but mean communities, leagues, companies and all others.
Integrated into our DBDCompNet Rules / Guidelines we have the RATING SYSTEMS Policy, parts of the Terms of Service - about suspensions and terminations and rule enforcement.
Art. 1
Organization. Organizations are competitive or non-competitive communities legal entities or not - that host events for Dead by Daylight either openly ("Global") or invite-only ("Local"). Organizations are either non-profit - they do not earn money for themselves - or profitable - they earn money for themselves or sell services.
(a) Profitable, Non-Profit
An organization, according to these rules, is non-profit when they do not (i) make sells, (ii) require enrollment fees, (iii) use earned money (e.g. through donations) for themselves, (iv) offer paid services or (v) collect money in any way, shape or form to use it privately. An organization, according to these rules, is profitable once they (vi) issue enrollment fees, (vii) make sells, (viii) use earned money (e.g. Twitch) for themselves, (viiii) offer paid services or (x) collect money in any way shape or form to use for themselves.
(b) Trusted & Authentic
Organizations can be marked ("Verification") as trusted and authentic by the DBDCompNet. This status means they are either (a) partnered with Behaviour Interactive, (b) partnered with Dead by Daylight [includes Official Content Creator], (c) communities that have been hosting for years with no known reports or (d) communities with no DBDCompNet violation for over three hundred and sixty (360) days.
(c) DBD Comp Union Member
As official and only partner of the DBD Comp Union organization, we verify official DBD Comp Union members with a special badge. These badges are only given out to members of the DBD Comp Union.
(d) Organization Rating
An organization with a rating below 80% is considered a player risk. We will, at our own discretion, warn about organizations with an extremely low score, if (i) the score has been below 80% for more than 90 days, (ii) has lowered in the past 30 days by more than 10% or (iii) has been found suspicious of fraud and abuse.
Art. 2
Transparency Clause. We protect our users from fraud and abuse at the best level we can. To do this we require all organizations on the DBDCompNet to be transparent. At the same time we want to build trust between organizers and people of authority. We are transparent and so do we like organizations to be, so players and other organizations know what they are dealing with.
(a) Invitation Only
Organizations which strictly host their events invite-only are asked to be transparent about this and not state "we are globally open to all" or similar in their description. Invite-Only organizations must send the message "our invites are exclusive for chosen players" or similar to the public.
(b) Pick Method
Organizations may disclose how they choose their invite-only teams. Picking specific teams based on any factor besides favouritism is allowed.
(c) Suspensions disclosure
Players are in the right to know about why they were or are going to receive a suspension of any duration. Organizations must disclose this decision publicly to - at minimum - the DBDCompNet under service@dbdcompnet.com and we disclose the reasoning as an official statement under the news tab.
(d) DBDCompNet Rating
The Rating ("Score") is a numeric score that displays how likely it is that a player or organization is going to comply with rules, treat players fair and professionally host their events. The score is displayed as a percentage. The higher, the more likely it is that they comply with rules or treat players fairly.
All players and teams start with a 100% Rating.
DBDCompNet RATING SYSTEMS © 2026
(e) Rating - Players
Players may give an organization feedback in the form of a rating from 1-18 in 4 factors on how they experienced an event or an organization as one. These factors are (1) Tournament Management (by staff), (2) Scheduling, (3) Fair Judgement / Treatment and (4) Compliance. This rating can only be issued by players after they participated in an active tournament.
Tournament Management is about how well the team or host has organized this event, how many issues occurred and how professional has the team handled this event.
Scheduling is about how well was the event scheduled and how well were players informed about the schedule and were negotiations made or not.
Fair Judgement is about that all players were treated equally and no favorites were made during the tournament.
Compliance is about how well did organizers comply with global rules and guidelines to protect players and treat them fair. Including Tournament Standards.
Rating may be adjusted by the DBDCompNet Management Team. The DBDCompNet is not allowed to make a rating worse.
(f) Rating - Organizations
Organizations may give a team and player feedback in form of a rating from 1-18 in 4 factors on how the team performed in terms of regulations and compliance. These factors are (1) Compliance with the Code of Conduct, (2) Scheduling Compliance (2x weighted), (3) Compliance with the Balancing and (4) Compliance with Rules. This rating must be issued by organizations after tournaments.
Compliance with the Code of Conduct means how well a team or player has complied with the organization's code of conduct.
Scheduling Compliance is a very important factor as it weighs double and can affect the score significantly. It means how well a team or player did comply with a given schedule.
Compliance with the Balancing means how well a team or player has complied with the organization's individual balancing or - when the organization uses it - the DBDCompNet Balancing.
Compliance with Rules means how well a team or player has complied with the organization's individual rules or - when the organization uses them - the DBDCompNet Tournament Standards.
(g) Using Rating
Organizations can use the DBDCompNet Rating System to (a) decide whether to accept or deny a player or team into their organization or (b) whether to accept or deny a player into a tournament.
The DBDCompNet uses the rating to verify players and teams as Entrusted & Authentic. This verification is given with a Rating of 90% upwards. Valid ratings are scores from teams that have been registered for 180 days after the rating started.
The DBDCompNet uses the rating to verify organizations as Entrusted & Authentic. This verification is given with a Rating of 98% upwards. Valid ratings are scores from organisations that have been registered for 180 days after the rating started.
(h) Admin-Panel - DBDCompNet Management
In compliance with our transparency clause we explain our Admin-Panel.
The Admin-Panel is an intern part of the DBDCompNet that may only be accessed via a DBDCompNet Management account ("Specific Admin Account"). The Admin-Panel is able to manage all users across the DBDCompNet platform. It has the ability to perform administration actions in the name of an organization, when an organization is hindered and is not able to perform them on their own - the DBDCompNet Management never uses it to perform actions that were not discussed with the organization, if these actions alter the organizations tournaments or team management.
(i) Disclosure obligation
It is obligated to disclose processing of information, how information is used, how rating is used, how news & support is used and posted and how teams are chosen for events.
Art. 3
Moderation and Rule Enforcement. We enforce a secure environment for our users and organizations. To ensure that, we set these moderation principles and rule enforcement regulations in place.

(f) Copyright Infringement
Copying, publishing, using and destroying copyrighted work is not allowed. All texts, media, audio and sound creations by users are copyrighted under German Copyright Law ("Urheberrechtsgesetz"). Posts made by users and organizations are copyrighted under their name and not under the DBDCompNet Management. All webpages and the DBDCompNet website belong to the DBDCompNet Management. Violating this law and violating this rule leads to rule enforcements and possible account termination.

(i) Appealing for Organizations
Organizations when banned have the chance to appeal. Appeals can be issued via service@dbdcompnet.com, and require (i) the organization server ID (Discord), (ii) organization name and (iii) organization email address.
Appeals, when accepted, immediately remove the ban. Another violation and ban results in a permanent and unappealable termination.
(j) Innocent until proven guilty
Any user of the DBDCompNet - that includes but is not limited to organizations - is innocent until proven guilty. With the feature of our staff's own discretion, they are allowed to prove guilt set on their own standards that would seem viable in front of an audience (or "Jury").
Users may not be punished until their innocence has been proven false and they are found guilty by reason and proof.
This rule only applies to the account restrictions and not suspensions or penalties issued by organizations.
(k) Automatic Moderation
We may use automatic detection systems (ADS) to automatically scan and check for violations of our rules. Trying to avoid these systems is a violation and will be handled with a tempban of at least 7 days up to 10 days at max.

Art. 6
Teams. Teams on the DBDCompNet undergo special requirements to maintain their team on our services. These rules apply to all current, past and future teams that use or have used or will use the services of the DBDCompNet. Teams are subject to transparency.
(a) Team definition
A team on the DBDCompNet is a group of at least 4 users and maximum 3 sub users, a total maximum of 7 users per team. A team is only valid if it has a team captain (also leader) and has a minimum of 4 players, including the captain in total.
(b) Sub User (also Sub)
The sub user (also sub roster) is an addition to the main roster (also players) that can replace a player as a sub ("Substitute") and play a tournament in the place of a player that is not able to play.
Only 2 subs can replace players at the same time and during a tournament. This rule may be adjusted by individual rules by organizations.
Subs can join a tournament without registration, unless organizations handle it otherwise.
(c) Captain (also Leader)
The team captain is the administrator of a team and is able to manage players, sub users and team data. A team can only have one captain (also leader) at a time.
The captain is forced to play all tournaments, unless an organization has made individual rules.
The captain may not be replaced by sub users, unless an organization has made individual rules.
(d) Main Roster (also Player)
The main roster are the 4 main players of the team. These players are always included in an event when the captain signs in one.
The main roster is also referred to as "Players" / "Player".
(e) Additional Rule Enforcement
The DBDCompNet has set additional and special standards in team rule enforcements. These standards are upheld by the DBDCompNet Staff.
- When the team captain is suspended, the team can no longer uphold the team definition and can no longer participate in events. Suspended here defined is a suspension from the DBDCompNet ("Account Suspension") or organization suspension ("Tournament Suspension"). Organization staff may still allow individual manual registrations.
- When the team captain is banned from the DBDCompNet ("Account Termination"), the team is no longer able to uphold the team definition and the captain will no longer return. The team is then deleted.
- When the team is under 4 players, it no longer upholds the team definition standards and can not participate in events and may be deleted by our staff.
