READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE AGREEMENT VERY CAREFULLY. By accessing the website or your DBDCompNet account, you automatically agree that these Terms are enforceable across related webpages and are enforceable like a contract signed by you. If you do not agree, do not access the website or create a DBDCompNet account.
You take cover of all internet connection fees and any other related third-party fees that may incur when accessing or using the website and account. DBDCompNet is not affiliated, partnered, or endorsed by Behaviour Interactive or Dead by Daylight.
While reading these Terms of Service, you may encounter shortcuts or personal pronouns. "We", "Us" and "Our" refer to DBDCompNet and its operating and managing administration ("DBDCompNet Management").
Shortcuts are explained once using quotation marks. These Terms are listed in chapters represented by the letters A-Z and subchapters represented by the numbers 1-99. Paragraphs marked with a hyphen represent a sub-subchapter or regulation.
These Terms of Service together with any applicable User Agreement, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and Terms and Conditions apply across all webpages of the DBDCompNet service.
You agree to check the website periodically for new information and terms that govern your use of DBDCompNet services. DBDCompNet may update and change these Terms at any time and will inform you by email and/or by posting notice on the website homepage. Unless indicated otherwise, changes affecting existing and new services become effective at your acceptance, or thirty (30) days after posting.
As DBDCompNet is a service of DBDCN, its Privacy Policy including these additions applies on the website and all webpages across this domain.
All of the above is referred to as "Personal Data". DBDCompNet may collect, use, and store these data points.
DBDCompNet does not collect special categories of data such as sexual orientation, race or ethnicity, religious beliefs, political or philosophical beliefs, or health information, and staff or responsible members should not ask for such data.
If you fail to provide Personal Data, DBDCompNet may decline services that are provided in exchange for those data points. By creating your account, you open a contract with the representative of the DBDCompNet Administration according to the imprint.
You understand, acknowledge and agree that any public communications on DBDCompNet services, including the website, are not private or confidential and may be viewed and used by others accessing those services.
You also understand, acknowledge and agree that you can at any time request all information stored about you by emailing support@dbdcompnet.com.
While some DBDCompNet services may be generally accessible by the public, certain aspects such as internal webpages specifically designed for members or third parties are only accessible using a DBDCompNet Account.
Only natural persons may create an account. Legal entities such as corporations, limited liability companies, and memberships may not create their own account or use a natural person's account.
By creating your account and entering into this Agreement, you represent that you are an adult and have the legal capacity to enter a contract. You agree to comply with this Agreement on behalf of yourself and, at your discretion, any minor children for whom you are the parent or legal guardian and whom you have authorized to use the website using your account.
You are liable for all activities conducted through your account and are responsible for ensuring that you and/or your child understands and complies with these Terms and all policies. You may object to your child having an account by emailing support@dbdcompnet.com, after which DBDCompNet is obligated to delete the child's personal data and permanently lock their account.
You are not allowed to impersonate others, especially:
To create an account, you must have an email address and provide accurate and truthful information. Some services may require more information such as your name, full address, government ID, or Discord ID.
DBDCompNet uses the Snowflakes method to create your UUID. You are required to protect this UUID and your account by creating a password.
DBDCompNet administration has the right to block or restrict your account for any reason, at any time, and is not obligated to provide services or to unblock or unrestrict your account.
To delete your account, you must send a detailed email to support@dbdcompnet.com clearly stating that you want your account deleted. Upon deletion, DBDCompNet is obligated under EU-GDPR to erase your personal data. Recreating an account later requires you to provide all personal data again.
Accounts are unique and secured by the Snowflakes method. Your UUID is publicly accessible. If you lose access to your account, you may contact support@dbdcompnet.com to have it locked for safety. Unlocking may require verification through the connected organization.
To receive access to internal data and services, you must either be part of a member organization as a player or be part of a contracted organization using the services for their community. In either case, you must create an account.
To be granted permission into internal areas, you must confirm your player status within those organizations. This happens by applying to join a registered organization on DBDCompNet and being accepted.
If you provide false information about your player status, your account may be locked, suspended, or terminated. Internal access is bound to your account and is lost if you lose access to that account.
Organization Accounts (Admin Accounts) receive the legacy verification badge. This badge verifies that an organization is entrusted by DBDCompNet and is required to post regulations in forums.
DBDCompNet Management may give legacy verification to players and users to protect them from impersonation, especially content creators.
Accounts that are partnered with Behaviour Interactive, partnered with Dead by Daylight, have hosted official events with BHVR or Dead by Daylight, or are trusted by DBDCompNet / have a name in the industry may receive an Entrusted & Authentic verification badge.
You may terminate the Agreement at any time. Since your account is tied to the Agreement, terminating the Agreement also terminates your account.
DBDCompNet Management and staff may terminate your Terms of Service Agreement at any time during your usage of your account. Termination results in a temporary lock, followed by deletion and erasure of data after thirty (30) days.
When failing to follow the Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, or similar rules, DBDCompNet may temporarily suspend your account. Permanent suspension leads to termination.
Member organizations may also suspend your account from their own internal site, and in some cases may issue global suspensions across DBDCompNet, but they may not terminate your account.
The DBDCompNet violation system works as follows:
Appeals may be made via support@dbdcompnet.com or the account appeals page. If accepted, you may create a new account, though past suspensions may affect verification eligibility.
DBDCompNet does not make sales or charge users to maintain their accounts, nor does it sell services.
Real money trading for virtual goods provided by Behaviour Interactive is strictly forbidden. DBDCompNet prohibits active or passive advertisement of such selling by unauthorized third parties.
DBDCompNet may forward relevant personal data directly to BHVR when it suspects or identifies illegal real money trading involving their virtual goods.
Examples of prohibited activity include:
The attempt alone may be treated as issued real money trading.
These Terms apply to all DBDCompNet webpages, including subdomains for individual organizations. Members may create their own additional terms for their page, but DBDCompNet's general Terms apply, overrule, and remain active on every member site.
Disobeying individual webpage terms may get you removed from those sites, and members may work together to issue global sanctions against you.
These Terms are governed by German law and European Union General Data Protection Regulations.
Members may create additional terms for their webpage, however any attempt to overrule or remove DBDCompNet's Terms of Service, German law, or European Union regulations is automatically repealed by this rule.
The website is owned under fair use by DBDCompNet Management. Disclaimers are made where needed to avoid confusion.
Dead by Daylight is rightfully owned by Behaviour Interactive. DBDCompNet does not claim affiliation with Behaviour Interactive and is fully independent.
DBDCompNet logos belong to DBDCompNet, while the Dead by Daylight logo belongs to Behaviour Interactive. On request by Behaviour Interactive, DBDCompNet will take down the site and connected webpages.
DBDCompNet is not liable for damage caused to your account during maintenance, updates, or potential takedown requests, including data loss or account loss.
Behaviour Interactive may request user data to solve issues, legal conflicts, or identify harmful actors. DBDCompNet states that it will not forward data outside of Behaviour Interactive without a plausible or legal reason.
DBDCompNet, including all webpages, is owned by DBDCompNet Management. The use of the term DBDCompNet is reserved to DBDCompNet and its members.
Creating an account gives you an account license. This license gives you the right to use all internal and external webpages to your own advantage until that license is removed by termination by either you or DBDCompNet.
Members obtain a webpage through DBDCompNet with their own subdomain on dbdcompnet.com. Those sites are individually regulated in terms of use by their representing organization.
All members own copyright over their own webpage under the DBDCompNet license included in membership, but all pages are legally owned by DBDCompNet Management.
This Agreement functions as a legally binding contract between you and the DBDCompNet Management represented by Jamie Pefestorff in accordance with German federal law.
DBDCompNet's rating system is a required part of the DBDCompNet. To create an account, you must also agree to the applicable User Agreement of the Organization Rules / Org Guidelines.
The DBDCompNet System ("Discord Bot") is an integrated part of the platform and shares publicly available information such as brackets, statistics, and other public information across Discord servers.
Your player name, Discord name, account name, and tournament information may be visible across Discord through these services.
These Terms are kept up to date by DBDCompNet Management Administration.
The account is tied to the Terms of Service Agreement. If you disagree with the Terms at any point, including future updates, you will be unable to log in, create, or use your account until you agree again.
Your data will not be lost for thirty (30) days unless you delete your account or request deletion, including deletion of your personal data.
